Based On a True Story​

 

       I am truly grateful for the talents God has blessed me with, and I’m always eager to share them with anyone who is willing to pay it forward. With over 30 years of experience in the videography industry, I have had the privilege of working on countless projects and telling stories through the lens. I owe much of my success to the unwavering support of my family, who have been by my side throughout this incredible journey.

 

     In 2024, I made the conscious decision to step back and focus more on spending quality time with my loved ones and deepening my faith in Jesus Christ. However, as life often shows, when we think we are stepping away, new opportunities arise. In November of that year, a close friend reached out to me with a heartfelt request: to create a tribute video and picture slideshow in memory of his late mother, Loretta Sims. Without hesitation, I accepted. After connecting with his family and receiving nearly 100 photos, I tapped into my years of experience to craft a beautiful and meaningful video. It was in this moment that I realized God had opened a new door for me to help others through a unique form of creative expression.

 

      This is how Going Home Videos/Picture Slideshows was born—a special service that combines my videography skills with my passion for storytelling and music. It's my way of providing comfort and healing to those who have lost loved ones, while also allowing me to stay connected to my craft. The music that accompanies each project—often a blend of Smooth Jazz and other calming genres—adds a deeply personal touch, helping to evoke emotions and memories in a way that words alone cannot. I am excited to continue this journey and to offer my skills to those in need of a meaningful way to honor their loved ones.
